As we posted on our web site a few months back, we are really excited about partnering with Wai Nani Surf & Paddle this season.  Wai Nani will have a small storage structure at Wayzata Beach, and will be offering SUP rentals and clinics throughout the summer; check out their programs at www.WaiNaniSUP.com.

Yes, Virginia, there is a winter.  Even here.  Virtually all of the runs are open and lifts operating at our local downhill ski/snowboard areas, and selected local cross country loops are in pretty darn good shape, considering, at places like Elm Creek, Hylands, Theodore Wirth, Trollhaugen.  As you travel on up north, Maplelag in Detroit Lakes, the North Shore trails– they’re working hard and doing ok.  For current downhill conditions check out www.skiandboardmn.com, and for touring www.skinnyski.com.  This photo was taken crossing Moose Lake out of Ely on January 2nd, with 13-year old yellow lab Niko on the sled with the cooler (his hips have pretty much disintegrated); the Hidden Valley cross country trails in Ely were very good!

The Ski-Away women had a very fun (even hilarious?) evening at S & S on November 13, photographic evidence submitted above!
